Letak

What are we living for?

Letak is a duet between me and Iqbal, two bodies from far apart cultures. I come from Java, he from Minangkabau with silek in his movement. Using our feet, the part of the body that quietly carries every step and every distance we walk, we search for a sense of purpose.

Silek becomes our way of moving here, not as self defense, but as a way of reading the path we take. Through our feet, we try to find "letak", the place where strength and weakness meet, where two distant cultures can finally stand side by side.
