Sorrow

Sometimes the pain we carry through life has the power to change who we are. The experiences that stay with us become teachers, always leaving something behind to learn. For a moment, I am reminded of my past, of myself walking a straight line along a path that had already been made and arranged. But there is one memory I received that forced me to change, an experience of learning to fight against pain I had carried for years. This is me, now, sitting before you.
